Central of Georgia C Line

This is a N scale layout loosely based off the Central of Georgia C line that ran from Chattanooga to Griffin and on to Macon GA. The section that I chose to model is part of the line that ran from Newnan, to Griffin, GA. I chose this line to model due to my interest in the C.G. and it is close to where I grew up. The time period of the layout is Jan. 1950 to June 12, 1963. This will allow me to run steam and all of the diesels that the C.G. owned and operated.

Rebuild started

Well just a quick update as I have started to redesign and rebuild of the layout. Nothing is set in stone yet but here are some pics of the work done thus far. Progress will be slow due to work and looking at a few new track plans for ideas. The first shot shows scenery that's been removed from what you see in the 2nd picture. 3rd photo shows tracks removed and module shortened to 6 feet and ready to be adapted to free standing.
